MotionX-GPS Drive exports full-screen nav on Pioneer head units
MotionX-GPS has been a solid choice in the iPhone and iPad navigation game for some time now, but only recently has started to stretch its legs a bit. The app now has compatibility with a series of JVC and Pioneer head units (listed out below) that enables full-screen 3D navigation. In this mode the mobile device basically turns in to a remote control with a simplified interface, with POI searching and of course media playback. Connectivity is not using the Terminal Mode standard, this works exclusively with the iPhone and iPad, and we’re told that sadly the company has no plans on supporting any other platforms going forward. So, if you’re not on iOS you’ll just have to find your own way to wherever you’re going.

Android Powered In-Dash Receiver
The deck has a 3.2″ screen, three USB ports, 3G connectivity so you can listen to Internet radio. You can also get some limited GPS service for nav and traffic info. Aftermarket radios may still be a thing of a past but it may have been given a little more life with this well evolved piece of technology.

Greg’s Audiophile Subaru Legacy GT
Morel Speakers & Genesis Amplifiers in Greg’s ’06 Subaru Legacy GT
Hate your long commute to work? CSD Audio will help you begin to enjoy your drive. With a 40 minute commute each way, Greg needed to find a way to make the most of the time he spends in his car every day. The system was designed to provide an amazing listening experience while keeping the appearance of this Subaru totally stock. 2 Genesis amplifiers, an Audison BitOne processor and Stinger 2 Farad capacitor are all hidden in a compartment under the floor, keeping them out of cargo areas as well as out of sight from would be thieves. We kept the factory radio in the dash to preserve the factory cosmetics and mounted the dash controller for the BitOne in a pocket above the clock. Thorough treatment of the vehicle with sound deadening material, careful placement of speakers, active crossovers, 1/3 octave EQs for each channel and digital time alignment of each individual speaker all combine to create incredibly realistic sound, natural vocals, smooth highs, and tight punchy bass.
